about
Single for the upcoming album "Further In Evil" out in October 2022.
lyrics
Blinded
Ghosted
Deceived
By the death on two legs of your shadow
[You] cursed my footsteps
I tried to empower myself but I failed.
No strength is enough
To tame [me]
[I] gazed in the abyss of fire so now I'm the flame.
[Do] the reasons lay in my maddness?
[You] destroyed my temple [and] I became who now I am.
I'll rule the nights
I'll feast [with] your dreams
I'll dress in black 'till your last mortal breath
Evil calls evil
Flames call flames
[Your] oxygen is my spark I'll extinguish your soul.
On your mortal spoils shall I feast
[I'll] veil your sight with the wind
Of the freezing sea winter sea.
Freezing sea winter sea
That makes all so hard
Father of all...give me the power
[To]
Gather from this sunset fire
Burn your heart within my hands.
Victimized
[You'll be] victimized.

Thanx to Lorenzo/Audiovolt Studio, Agipunk, Liz, Marika, Addison, Silvia.
Marthe returns!!! Awesome to hear her back and she does not disappoint. Within awaits a book of wrath, a grimy manifesto of blackened punk fury, incendiary and venomous. Marthe effectively carves her place of riot grrrl-style spitting punk, crabwalking into the icy night with the best of the Norwegian black metal wave. Pure, barbaric, atavistic, driving. A beautiful borderland, full of stern rocks and fierce wind, between the realms of all the heavy musics we love. pinkytheent
So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
